Welcome
O Lord God, merciful judge, you are the inexhaustible fountain of forgiveness. Replace our hearts of stone with hearts that love and adore you, that we may delight in doing your will, through Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord. Amen
Call to Worship
CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS
Blessed be the holy Trinity, one God,
who creates, redeems, and sustains us and all of creation. Amen. Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another. Silence is kept for reflection |
Faithful God,
Have mercy on us. We confess that we are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves. We turn from your loving embrace and go our own ways. We pass judgement on one another before examining ourselves. We place our own needs before those of our neighbours. We keep your gift of salvation to ourselves. Make us humble, cast away our transgressions, and turn us again to life in you through Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord. Amen. |
God hears the cries of all who call out in need,
and through his death and resurrection, Christ has made us his own. Hear the truth that God proclaims: Your sins are forgiven in the name of Jesus Christ. Led by the Holy Spirit, live in freedom and newness to do God’s work in the world. Amen. |

Kids' Talk: Blessing of the Backpacks/Computers
THE BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS:
On this Sunday after Labor Day, we celebrate the start or return to school and pray a special blessing for our students young and old. We’ve called it the “blessing of the backpacks”, but it is really a blessing of those who carry them. This year we can especially use an extra blessing. So we invite you to come to the church today - Sunday, September 13th - between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. Pastor Markus will be there to give each one an individual blessing along with a small token you can attach to your backpack or to keep with you at your desk at home. Please form a line under the carport in front of the doors, maintaining proper distancing from others. See you then!

Hymn of Praise
Blessed assurance Jesus is mine
O what a foretaste of glory divine Heir of salvation, purchase of God Born of his spirit washed in his blood This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long |
Perfect submission, perfect delight
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight Angels descending bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long Praising my Savior all the day long |

Create in me a clean heart oh God
Let me be like you in all my ways Give me your strength, teach me your song Shelter me in the shadow of your wings For we are your righteousness If we die to ourselves and live through your death Then we shall be born again to be blessed in your love! |
OFFERTORY Prayer
Blessed are you, O God, maker of all things.
You have set before us these gifts of your good creation.
Prepare us for your heavenly banquet, nourish us with this rich food and drink, and send us forth to set tables in the midst of a suffering world, through the bread of life, Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord.
Amen

The Lord's PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. |
We give you thanks, gracious God, that you have once again fed us with food beyond compare, the body and blood of Christ.
Lead us from this place, nourished and forgiven, into your beloved vineyard to wipe away the tears of all who hunger and thirst, guided by the example of the same Jesus Christ and led by the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
Amen.

PRAYERS & Blessing
Announcements
Dear Glory Family,
After much anticipation, lots of prayers and work, we are excited to have launched our fundraising campaign - “Fulfilling God’s Vision for our Land: The Next Chapter” - a chapter of expanded ministry to our church family and the local and worldwide communities.
Since our earliest days as a congregation, God has blessed us richly – a place to worship in a beautiful setting, a church family that thrives on joy, a community with both roots and wings. We come from different backgrounds and experiences but find our common ground in our identity in Jesus and the family of faith He has woven us into – Reaching Up…Reaching Out…Reaching In.
You have probably received a package in the mail by now. If you have not received a package, please contact Heidi in the office to ensure we have your current address and one will be mailed to you. Please use this information to prayerfully consider your financial contribution toward the purchase of the land. You will find this material and much more on the website under the menu item "Land Purchase". Check in often to follow our progress
