Welcome
Compassionate God, you gather the whole universe into your radiant presence and continually reveal your Son as our Saviour. Bring wholeness to all that is broken and speak truth to us in our confusion, that all creation will see and know your Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord. Amen

Thank you for your continued support of our church.
Thank you for your continued support of our church.
O God, receive these gifts as you receive us: like a mother receives her child, with arms open wide.
Nourish us anew in your tender care, and empower us in faithful service to tend to others with this same love, through Jesus Christ, our saving grace.
Amen

PRAYERS, Blessing & Announcements
The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
Glory Lutheran Church’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. In light of the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions enacted by Alberta Health Services on public gatherings, this meeting will be held on Zoom. (Please note that the Province of Alberta issued a Ministerial Order in April 2020 which suspends the obligation in section 25 of the Societies Act for in-person meetings. That Ministerial Order is still in effect.) The AGM Report was sent by mail or email to members of the congregation on Tuesday, January 26. You may want to print the document for easy reference during the meeting. If you are not able to print it and would like a paper copy, please contact the church office. You are encouraged to read the report ahead of time and call Pat Becker if you have any questions or would like further information or clarification on any topic. Suggestions on how to participate in the meeting will be offered to members who are not able to join the meeting via computer. |
The February Worship Planning Committee invites you to participate in providing “messages from the heart” which will be placed in the February 14th online service. Would you consider taking a picture of your family or a selfie of you holding a paper heart with a message to be shared? Your message could read “God loves you”/ “Peace be with you” / “You are missed” or whatever message from your heart you’d like to share! Please send these pics/messages before February 12th to: [email protected]m |
Lenten Soup Suppers! While we can’t get together, we can make soup and attend the online Lenten worship service. Please email Heidi your favourite soup recipe ([email protected]). Heidi will post some of the recipes in the weekly e-news bulletin for everyone to try. Then we can make soup - either new or familiar - to enjoy before attending the Lenten Service. As a bonus, please take a picture of yourself making or eating your favorite soup. Send the photo to [email protected] to be posted in the Sunday Worship Services. |
