E4C's School lunch program

A full tummy is good to think on!
With one in five children in Edmonton living in poverty, E4C's School Lunch Program feeds hungry children in high-needs schools.
By providing a well-balanced lunch to children, E4C's School Lunch Program is helping children to concentrate on their school work, not on their hunger.

Families are asked to contribute whatever they can through an anonymous double-envelope system.
Regardless of payment, registered children receive a nutritious lunch each school day. Staff are hired from local communities to serve lunch to the children.

Over 2,000 students receive a lunch in ten high-needs schools. Menus are well balanced, taking into account eating well with Canada's Food Guide.
